Where can you buy emblems for a 99 Honda Civic Sedan? They scratched the pain and the glue was left over from the emblems. How do I remove the glue leftover??

I was sooo pissed today when I went out and saw the emblems were stolen and they had left scratches all over the hood. What idiot would want to steal emblems!!

Something for miscreants to do.Back in the day they used to rip your Lee patches right off the jeans, while you were wearing them.

I always say people will steal anything.

Were they original emblems or aftermarket red h ones?

If you have to ask a question like this just take your car to a Honda dealer and have them do the work for you. Just open your checkbook and pay them to do it.

This website makes me weep for the future of humanity.

Removing adhesive should be a common topic, particuarly in the Paint & Body section.

You can use a heatgun (or a hairdryer) to remove the really stubborn stuff. Other than that, use something like Goo Gone. Even brake cleaner (YES!) will work and it won't damage you're paint unless your car is spray painted or you did a repaint with household paint...

I've used the brake clean many times myself. Stop telling me how it will make the car shed all it's paint because you heard that from someone who heard it from someone. I even posted a pic once to show me using brake clean on the trunk of an Audi (with owner giving a thumbs up in the background) to show I use brake clean.

Anyway...

Remove the left over adhesive using a method like one of the above.

Then get your new emblem and put it on.

Emblems can be found at:

- Your local Honda dealership
- Honda dealership websites
- eBay
- Any other Honda... oops, scratch that
- Some parts stores
- Some cold, unfeeling department stores (pretty sure I've seen crap like this at freaking WALMART)

Installing the new badge should be as simple as removing the adhesive and sticking the badge on or possibly as complicated as sticking the pins through the holes and securing it from the inside of the trunk.

Voila. Done.

You're not allowed to pump your own gas in those states. It is illegal.

I think parents are giving out free 15-25 year old Hondas in droves.

"I'm so proud of you for passing your driving test. For this feat, I pass my headache of a car onto you."

I had to actually look into this, WTF? That is messed up. I suppose the upside is it keeps high school kids in a job. I remember back when most of the local gas stations had a full serve option, I think only a couple still have it. I've never actually done the full serve thing, I've always pumped my own gas.

Yeah, it always made me uncomfortable to have some strange guy who doesn't give a **** about my car pump my gas and not allow me to. I've managed to never get gas in Oregon because of it.
