I was sooo pissed today when I went out and saw the emblems were stolen and they had left scratches all over the hood. What idiot would want to steal emblems!! |
Re: Honda emblem
Something for miscreants to do.Back in the day they used to rip your Lee patches right off the jeans, while you were wearing them.

Could've Googled this instead of trying to feebly call someone out. http://www.soulstrut.com/index.php/f.../16977/#256004 It's even in a rap lyric. Hip hop, it was '88 Even at the age of 10, phrases levitate Drinking Little Hug quarter waters Dodging stray slugs on the corner in that exact order While you playing, death is what happens I found the passion in aerosol cans and hands clapping Back spins, microphones and cats rapping Linoleum and up rockers, the show shockers Who rip Lee patches off of impostors You ain't the real McCoy, you a wind up toy And it's going to cost you And that's my B-Boy Alpha |
Re: Honda emblem
Sorry to hear that. Makes you feel kind of violated.

Re: Replacing stolen Honda emblem
I always say people will steal anything.
Were they original emblems or aftermarket red h ones? |

Where can you buy emblems for a 99 Honda Civic Sedan? They scratched the pain and the glue was left over from the emblems. How do I remove the glue leftover??

Re: Replacing stolen Honda emblem
This website makes me weep for the future of humanity.
Removing adhesive should be a common topic, particuarly in the Paint & Body section. You can use a heatgun (or a hairdryer) to remove the really stubborn stuff. Other than that, use something like Goo Gone. Even brake cleaner (YES!) will work and it won't damage you're paint unless your car is spray painted or you did a repaint with household paint... I've used the brake clean many times myself. Stop telling me how it will make the car shed all it's paint because you heard that from someone who heard it from someone. I even posted a pic once to show me using brake clean on the trunk of an Audi (with owner giving a thumbs up in the background) to show I use brake clean. Anyway... Remove the left over adhesive using a method like one of the above. Then get your new emblem and put it on. Emblems can be found at: - Your local Honda dealership - Honda dealership websites - eBay - Any other Honda... oops, scratch that - Some parts stores - Some cold, unfeeling department stores (pretty sure I've seen crap like this at freaking WALMART) Installing the new badge should be as simple as removing the adhesive and sticking the badge on or possibly as complicated as sticking the pins through the holes and securing it from the inside of the trunk. Voila. Done. |

You're not allowed to pump your own gas in those states. It is illegal.

Re: Replacing stolen Honda emblem
Yeah, it always made me uncomfortable to have some strange guy who doesn't give a shit about my car pump my gas and not allow me to. I've managed to never get gas in Oregon because of it.
