replacing my clutch
i have a new clutch soon to be on its way to my house. Now i'm new to the DIY and cars alltogether. Is it worth it to pay like 3-4 hundred bucks to have a professional put it in? or should i try it myselft? If anyone is in the milwaukee area that could help with clutch replacement pm me. I'd be willing to pay $

Its pretty simple, provided you know what your doing and have the right tools.
If your unsure, a local shop should do it for around 300$ assuming you have the parts, and should only take a couple hours.

it real simple
It took me and 3 of my friends like 4 hours to do it and we were taking our time
it took us quicker to do a cluctch than an exhaust
if you go to the how to section in http://www.c-speedracing.com it gives you an excellent write up on how to do it.
Cant go wrong with those direction

If you take your time and triple check all of your work you should be fine. But if you are having any second thoughts at all then don't do it. Remember, if you **** it up and can't figure it out it will end up in the shop anyway and you will be paying. If the shop ***** it up they have to pay for it.

Milwaukee, how far is that from chicago? I can come buy and help ya out or something. if it is within a 1 minute drive LoL

Me and a freind did mine in about a day using this link, in that day i changed ball joint and repaired axle boots aswell. its very simple but you will need to lift the box about to get it back on so you need to strong or have a hydro jack. Basically putting the box back on is the trickiest bit

to get balljoint off...just hammer the side of the them and they break free (sooner or later), never hit the threaded area!!! Balljoint seperaters just mash the rubber boots ups.

well if you and your friends are mechanically inclinded at all and after looking through the c-speed directions and still feel like your not going to be able to do it than just keep asking around im sure someone in your area can do it for a decent price

depends on if your car is older cuz if its older things will be harder to take off , me taking a manual trans class in college my advice to you is take it in. i have done many clutches and you wont be happy if u do somthing wrong so just take it in
