Default replacing my Apexi N1 catback....with what though???

hi guys, I have a 5th gen CX hatch....my Apexi N1 sits too low and will drag now that I am going to lower my car, so I am seeking a replacement. If possible, merely getting an axleback would be nice, and keeping the Apexi n1 b-pipe (though they would have to bolt up correctly). Otherwise, I will need the entire catback....

noise is not really an issue, but quiter is better....more concerned with ground clearance, weight, and power.

any opinions on what I should get?? only puting 200hp to the flywheel right now, may eventually get more aggressive camshafts (have itr/ctr now), but will probably stay NA no matter what with this car. high-end or mid-range power would be fine...please post both options if there is a best in either range. Last, looking to spend no more than around $600...hopefully won't be a problem with my power output. Any opinions would be appreciated!!!

Why not stick with Apex and go with the World Sport. It is quiet and it will definitely help with your ground clearance problem. It would make sense that you could just get the axle back and it would hook up to the exhisting N1 b-pipe(I am not positive though).

I am not sure how well this exhaust does with high horsepower engines(200+whp), but I have talked to several people with this setup and they are more then pleased.

Hit up "Blykins" and ask him how he likes his World Sport. He has a 5th generation hatchback, and I am sure he could provide ground clearance pictures for you as well!

With the nifty price of 359.25 for a CATBACK, I am sure you would have no problem staying within the $600 budget, plus you can sell the axle back N1.

Good luck.

Is your Apex N1 the under axle type?

yes, the axleback piping and the bottom of the canister both hang very low.

go with the oval ES muff from www.jdmhondaparts.com for like $100.00 and then get a shop to run your piping like axle back, this muff isn't that loud but at high rpm's you'll like the sound.

No it doesn't go under the axle for 5th gen civics. It goes over the axle but it comes out @ such an extreme angle that it sacrifices ground clearance

I had the same problem. Unfortuneately money was an issue so I ended up hacking mine to make it run straight. I'm toying with 1 of 3 diff scenarios.

1) Buddy Club Spec III or Spec I exhaust
2) an exhaust from JIC magic
3) Ti Universal from HKS and custom mandrel bent piping.

All will cost about the same. I'm not sure which would be better for performance. It also depends on which way I'm taking my car too (Toying with FI). Custom might be the best route.
