Replacing Ignition On a 92-95 Civic
Hey all,
I never really post in this specific forum and have had no luck searching, but want to know what's the best route in replacing the ignition in my Civic that was stolen and recovered?
Should I just buy a used ignition? The same one that the thieves just break right off?
What about keys? Am I forced to have a key for both the door and the new ignition?
Thanks!

your are going to have to replace it with a new one from Honda ($$$), Or a used unit from eBay. If you buy it from Honda they would probably send it to a locksmith to match it to your car key. not that all of the dealers do, but some do and others just give you a new key to use only in your ignition; but it sound like that is not what you want.
My suggestion would be to get a use unit and take it to a locksmith.
Or if you have patience you may be able to remove the key tumbler and figure out How to do it yourself. Its not hard just have to pay attention to how everything goes together.
