Default replacing the door 'handle and lock' ????

About 2- 3 years ago some goona broke into my car and tried to steal ****... they only got a cheap intake and shift ****.. but anyway, the used a screwdriver or something like that to punch out my driver side lock ( i didn't have an alarm at that time, because there wasn't anything to steal really )

Anyway, Can i just order a new lock/handle from the dealer? Or do I have to replace ALL my handles and locks?

WOW, you incident sounds like you are me. This exact **** happened to me. The thieves punched out my passenger side lock and simply opened the door and took their sweet *** time jacking my 400 dollar alpine deck. In the process of punching out the lock they broke the door handle. I went down to the dealership and ordered a new door handle, and it came prepainted. It was like 55 bucks. My lock still functioned. You have a 99 civic? You should be able to order a prepainted door handle also. I will check when i get to work.... I work at a honda dealership now. peace

hey thanks man that would be awesome

so i can still use my original keys? The door opens and closed fine, and the lock still works, but only from the inside. I can't use my key from the outside.

So the handle just replaces the 'handle' only? not the lock? How do they know what 'tumbler' setting you have or whatever?

your car is a dx or cx right??? so your handles arent even painted to begin with, right? they are cheap. the drivers side handle is 27.32 plus tax... that does not come with the locks.
