Default replacin rack & pinion

is it hard , does anybody have info how to start its a 96 ek hatch cx

IMO yes.

I have done it on our 92 hatch.

drop the exhaust, shift linkage, (see the bitch pin thread)

From the inside disconnect the flex joint on the bottom of the steering column.

Tie rod ends

remove power steering lines if there.

clamps that hold rack to the chassis

It's been a few years but I think that's it.
