Replacement Rocker Panels for 94 civic
Hi all, I'm planning on ordering these replacement rocker panels from Home - Rust Repair Panels for my 1994 Civic hatchback, so my question is has anyone ever used these before and if so how well is the fitment on these panels? I don't want to go through the hassle of trying to fabricate these myself.

I don't think Fitment is going to be that much of an issue overall.
At that price I would be more concerned about the quality and thickness of the material/metal.
Let us know the quality of the panels they provide you, that would be very helpful.

i ordered replacement quarters for a civic sedan from them to see if i could modify them at all to fit my integra sedan. not really possible without some serious modification so i gave that up. but the quality seemed pretty good. the metal looks to be just as thick as oem, but i never measured it with calipers or anything so it could just look as thick.

With these you will have to cut and weld. Careful as to not heat up the panel too much or it will warp. That should be your only concern. Aligning the panel is a given.

Thanks for the feedback, came out just shy of $100 with shipping. Hopefully have photos of the finished product soon for those who are interested.

OP, thanks for taking the plunge, definitely let us know, I'm definitely interested as the rears of my rockers are starting to go and CARS (canadian association of rallysport) won't allow any visible/serious rust.

I am willing to bet these are sourced from multiple manufacturers and I suspect sometimes you get closer to OEM metal and others you do not, probably do not more often but once in awhile....
Purchasing (sourcing) tends to do this unless you stick with a certain brand, manufacturer with specs etc etc.

You could try finding a good car at a junk yard and cut off the bits you need. Or, the easier way, would be cutting the rustiest bit out, sanding it down, covering it with POR15, gluing some popsicle on the inside then covering it with fiber glass before sanding it smooth and painting it. I think those patch panels are in the middle of the two options i've listed.

I did the rear quarters, from Acura on my 94 RS, they were a perfect fit, no mods needed except to cut off the extra rocker that was not needed, [past the stock weld point].

Well this sucks but thought i'd post this anyways, started removing more interior pieces to check the quarter panels from the inside, and it's not very good.. Guess the rocker panels are currently on hold for now until i can figure out what I'm going to do about this...

Re: Replacement Rocker Panels for 94 civic
My RS was not that bad but I replaced the complete quarters anyway, it actually was cheaper then repairing/patching just the rusted parts, [rear wheel arch and back of rocker], even with the price of the panels, body shop said it was a lot less work to replace the complete panel then to just try and cut out and repair the rust, way less time on body work. 94

@fcm what did the shop charge/how long ago? Notice you're in Can like me, been trying to find prices to get it done cuz I don't wanna do the body work and so far everyone says at least 1k without even a discussion on what's involved (eg replacement panels vs patch).

Re: Replacement Rocker Panels for 94 civic
I got a very good deal at Mark V auto body here in Kelowna because we did A/C work for them, It cost me $650 cash, and I paid just under $1000 for the two panels from Park lane Acura here in Kelowna, #3 and #6... OUTER PANEL for 1994 Acura INTEGRA HATCHBACK.
One of the reasons it was cheap, [compared to body work] is they just removed the old panels at the seams and installed the new ones and they where stock replacement panels not aftermarket so the fit was very good and that saved a lot of time, [labour]..
Labour pricing will vary widely from shop to shop, I suggest you get the panels and shop around. 94

Wow that's a lot for the panels consider aftermarket ones are like 50 bux.
IMHO if you r car is that far gone why pay so much? To each their own though of course!
I don't even think civic oem ones are that much, lol. 650 for labour isn't bad tho.
