replacement mouldings on eg..
when i get my car painted, im getting new mouldings (either jdm slim mouldings, or new ones). i have the type of eg that has clips on the back of the mouldings. for the slim ones to fit on, they have 3m tape.. should i get pieces of metal welded over the old holes for the clips, or just put the tape over the holes?
thanks
thanks

Re: replacement mouldings on eg.. (killerboots)
that is up to you, but it seems like that would be alot of work for nothing. I don't think I would mess with it though, nothing better than oem fitment , but then again I have always been a doubter of 3m tape holding molding on for long periods of time.

I don't think it will make a difference if you just leave the holes alone. You're not losing too much contact from them, and if you use tape, the 3m will bond to that tape only and will be only as strong as the other tape you use in those spots.
