Is the replacement ECU compatible
1992 Honda Civic EXV with 1600cc SOHC VTEC engine and automatic transmission.
Previous stock ECU, now dead, is 37820-P28-C50.
Available, replacement stock ECU, not yet installed, is 37820-P28-C52.
My question: Is the replacement C52 compatible with the previous C50?

i believe that determines your automatic vs. manual ecu...since its different then its probably for a 5 speed. if i remember correctly thats what the last 3 letter/numbers mean. so no...it wont be compatible.

Slo_Hatch, thanks for your very quick reply.
In the last three digits of the ECU part number:
C = intended for Canadian market
5 = intended for Automatic transmission
The last digit:
0 = Original version, Revision 0
1 = Revision 1
2 = Revision 2
etc, etc
I am unable to establish the differences between Rev. 0 and Rev.2
Can you advise?
