Replaced timing belt and now odd idle.
Thanks for looking at this post. As it reads monday I had my timing belt and water pump replaced on my 1995 Honda Civic D15 16 valve. Immediatly after I noticed the ide was different, instead of being constant as it was before the service was it seem to go very low and go up a little bit and back down but the engine seems to vibrate instead of just idle. I cant explain it but its there. The gearheads at my work says he may not have lined up the gears when he replaced the belt. I have tried to reset the ECU, check the coolant level, spark plugs and wires seem fine. If you have any ideas as to why this is happening please let me know ASAP as im taking it back in tommorow morning.

UUmm yeah, take it back, and DON'T let that guy touch your car............ever. Try lining everything up to TDC and make sure everything is lined up; ie: crank pulley, cam gear, etc. If everything IS lined up, try doing a valve adjustment and see if the noise still persists

well it doesnt so much make a noise as it surges at a low idle i guess, I hate that I dont know how to explain I just know its not the same, I have searched this site and have taken all the old advice into account but its still there.

timing belt is off a tooth on the cam gear(s). line the crank up to tdc and see if the cam gear(s) are lined up correctly.
