Default Replaced timing belt- now having issues!

Okay so today on my b16A2

1) Had my camshafts replaced with GSR's cams and cam gears (buddy club)
2) Had my timing belt & water pump replaced too.

Now my problems are:

1) Battery light illuminates when I give it a lot of throttle.
2) Car dies while idling
3) Squeaking belt from the lower block area-ish...I'm sorry I don't know how to better describe it.

I've had one friend tell me that means the belt is too tight, and another say it's not tightened nearly enough.

Anyone else have suggestions??

Thanks in advance!

When replacing timing belt & what not, would they have had to loosen the alt. belt? and so maybe they forgot to re-tighten it?

Yes. They would normally remove/replace all accessory belts to replace the timing belt.

okay...wow that's frustrating. Wish I could do more of my own work.

But do my "symptoms" sound typical of a loose alt belt? Anything else to look for when I go in there?

Everything sounds right.

Are your headlights/interior lights changing brightness?

nah not really. I'm still getting 12.5 - 12.8 volts at the battery. It really must be that belt b/c the more gas I give it- the more it squeaks.

If you can turn it 90 degree than its not tight enough, check both belts. The timing belt may be off a tooth.
