Replaced clutch master now clutch slips huge!! Pedal adjustment possibility?
I replaced the clutch MC since it was leaking and the car would not go into gear. Since then shifting is fine but.... now 60-70% of the time i hit the gas (in any gear) and the revs shoot up and the car barely moves. Feels like a really bad slip.
Also, the clutch engages right at the top of the pedal travel (as opposed to right off the ground). Would adjusting the clutch pedal help any? Since it does not happen all the time I suspected a pedal problem and not a full release/engagement of the clutch??

you have the incorrect freeplay in the master cylinder. adjust the rod at the back till you have 1/2 -3/4 an inch of freeplay. you have it too tight now and it is putting pressure on the plate disengagin the clutch. h.t.h. good luck.

loosen up the locknut. locknut b, then turn the pushrod (cant remember clockwise or counter, ) turn it till you can push the pedal with no resistence 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch. after the 1/2 -3/4 of an inch, you should start to build pedal pressure. it is hard to explain. it would be easier to just show you. counter clockwise should give you freeplay. clockwise should take it out. i am about 90% sure you need to go counter clockwise.
