replace shocks with springs?

replace shocks with springs?
im buying some HR springs for my 92 eg. my friend told me that if i were to do that i HAVE to replace the shocks. do i have to replace them or no?

yes, aftermarket springs will pop the shocks pretty quickly.........you can always ride the stock shocks (very bouncy), but eventually, you still have to replace them down the line.

Righto, you can get away with it for now, using aftermarket springs on stock shocks, but you'll have to replace the shocks sooner or later anyhow, and there's no sense in doing the job (and paying for an alignment) twice , so you might as well just replace the shocks as well.
Or hell, for the money, you might even want to consider taking it to the next step, and installing a full coilover setup.... Just food for thought.
