Default Replace or remove the resonator?

The existing one that I have rattles at 1500-2500....drives me up the fricken wall.

I alredy know what I am doing, I just want to know what you guys would do.

honestly bro i would replace it..i dont think its gonna restrict your flow all that much and having it will give you a more suttle (SP?) deep sound then without it it gets raspy..thats why a lot of rice cars you hear driving around sound like ****..cause then just have a straight pipe with a muffler thinking their gonna gain an extra 20hp cause they have a straight pipe..goodluck with your choice

take it out... have you actually seen the contortions it makes air go through in order to just get to the air filter???

i took mine out after i got my K&N drop in and it sounded great. deep and throaty.

my buddy removed his....did nothing for performance.....im sure you already know this. made it a tad louder in the VTEC range of his B16, but other then that, id just say replace it

if it was in good condition i would keep it, but i wouldnt spend any money on a new one.

The damn thing is damaged and rattles in Low RPM's. Drives me knuts.

Replace.

Resonators are usually straight through design so restriction is minimal if there is any.
It removes a lot of the "crackle" sound and makes the sound deep.

Not really.

Gave up on them for a little while too. Getting new shocks, UCA's, and doing a lot of painting.

Rims will come some day in the far future.

eplace it, It get really anoyyyyyyyyyiiiiiiinnnnnnngggggg If you dont, I have mine out when I went to 2.5 inch but I am putting a resonator soon as I get paid. Its loud but its raspy, sounds like an apc catback or something...

I don't run any resonator on my custom 3" piping and it isn't really that bad, but I think the muffler on the end is quieting it down.

Yeah Spade, just replace it......in the long run you'll thank yourself. That raspy blat at about 4 grand is gonna get old after a week or so.

if you just remove it...u better have someone who can weld hook you up...i took mine to the local midas and they fucked it up....**** leaks...so i say replace it
