Default repairing a bent forged wheel...

Just wondering if anyone has had a bent forged wheel fixed before? I'm looking to buy a set of used Volks as track wheels and the price is great but 2 of the wheels are bent, with one having a slight bend that you can't tell from looking and another that's bent more obviously. I'm curious how others with forged wheels that were bent held up after being repaired in terms of strength and finish etc. Thanks for any info!

if they're bent, you're gonna hafta have them fixed.. depending on how badly they're bent, the more costly its going to be... worst case scenario: u have to replace them. If i were you, dont get them

IMHO don't do it from personal expirence unless you can have the wheel inspected before hand by the rim repair shop do not buy them. don't buy someone elses problem. save and you one day can own a set.

i had a set of rims that was on my car( remember had a set, not mines) and i went through a trench in the middle of the road when i was stwitching lanes. bammmm! i later found out that it was bent, when i took it to get my tires flipped... it was leaking air... so what the guys at the tire shop did was use a 2x4 and hit it with a rubber mallet... it did most of the job but it wasnt straight like it was before...

is the lip bent or the actual rim. if its just the lip you can get both of them fixed for around $50
