Icon2 removing Timeing belt cover?

Is there a way to get the timing belt cover off without taking off the valve cover or anything. I tried but only tried the two bolts on the side and couldnt figure it out so i was wondering how it comes off or if its even possible to get it off without taking out the engine

The upper part of the timing belt cover has a lip on it. Therefore you are going to have to take the valve cover off.

ya just those two bolts. nothing should go wrong but there is always the chance of something falling in there.

you can get it off, but it is a big pain in the ***. It's an even bigger pain in the *** getting it back on. Just do it right, it's actually easier that way.

^^ Yes, go get yourself a replacement valve cover gasket while your are at it. Pick up some Honda-bond, too.

It is 5 bolts (taking the VC off), that's it....assumming you have a D series, too.
