Default Removing TB

Car: 98 dx w/ Y7

Is it ok to remove the throttle body without pulling off the coolant lines?

Or will coolant pour all over once the tb is lifted off?

I need to replace the MAP sensor and I cant get enough pressure on the screws to remove em because it is on the back of the tb. So the screws are getting messed up.

TIA

yeah it is ok to remove the tb without removing the coolant line or iacv. and and u mean the kit thats attached to the lower of the tb ,right ?..the worse case is .some coolant will be slightly flows out..only a tiny bit..so u are fine. dont worry. just make sure u might need to get a new tb gasket and maybe new o ring for map sensor.

what kit do you speak of? I just assumed it attached like a b series tb to the IM?

Am i wrong in thinking this?

If some or no coolant comes out then I'm fine with it. I hope that i dont tear the tb gasket, and im hoping the o-ring will be reusable.

no.thats iacv attached to intake manifold .the one i talked about is the one device thats attached right under TB, or maybe u dont have one in your system. and even if u dont tear up the gasket, u might as well replace it anyway .cause it is to seal from vacume leak. and to replace the map sensor..u dont really have to take out TB

i know, but i dont have a way to get the screws loose. I tried and the phillips head screws are getting messed up cause i cant get enough force on them. So my next option is to take it off.
