Removing stock rear spoiler from EG
What's the best way to remove the stock rear spoiler from a 92-95 Hatch? I don't want to bust any clips or anything like that. A JDM EG rear spolier is going in its place.
Thanks.
Thanks.

dont know for sure...but i think there are like only two or three bolts/nuts tht hae to be removed from the underside. go snag a copy of sport compact car and they have a project eg and they talk real quick about takeing off the rear spoiler

i believe there is four 10mm bults that needs to be taken off..i also think your rear windshield will be coming off with it...and then pull the defrost clips off of each side..

There is four 10mm or 12mm, nuts to undo, two on each hinge, you can see/ get to them when you lift up the upper rear glass hatch.
Lift up the spoiler gently to get access to the plug for the brake light, then you have to unplug the brake light.
If you have a windsheild washer, remove it temporarily(two philips screws), and re-attach it to the new spoiler.
Redo in reverse for the re-instalation of the new spoiler
Cheers

Here's the deal when trying to install the JDM EG spolier.
It goes the same as you guys have said (remove the 4 10mm nuts and then unplug the light, washer, and wire holders from the oem spolier. Also, remove the 4 phillips screws holding the spoiler to the metal bracket. The glass or hatch does not need to come out.
However, don't plan on retaining your stock spolier because you pretty much need to break the clips off when removing it from the stock metal bracket. After you break the clips and take the oem spolier off, then the JDM piece goen on perfectly.
Reinstall everything and go about your way!
