Removing Sound Dampener?
What can I use to remove the black tar stuff (the sound dampener stuff) in my civic, I heard using dry Ice but is there any chemical I can use to remove it, other then scrape it?

this topic has been extremely covered, but anyhoo... Simply wait til it is colder outside (winter is an opportune time) then take the hammer and chisel to it. I then cleaned the remaining tar gunk off with 3M tar remover. Works very well. Some people say simple green without diluting it but it didn''t work too well for me. and thats about it.
