Re: removing pin striping (VTECTIME)
well there are a couple of ways....if it is hot where your are let it sit in thew sun and peel it off with your nail it ownt hurt clear coat or paint. If not then use a household hair dryer, and keep like 10-16 inches. fromt he car and heat it up be carewful thought this is a very risky way...Good luck

First:invest in some goo gone(wal-mart=4.00) then go with the hair dryer idea(don't melt your paint" and let your fingernails grow a couple days...you're gonna need them

Re: removing pin striping (SpoonSportsEF7)
I am also interested in doing this, so i'm glad this topic came up. However, what is truely a safe distance to hold the hairdryer from? I don't want to ruin my paint. Also, is the pinstripe applied the same way on all generations? I have a 2000 dx. Thanks.

peel it off then use goo gone or something of that nature to remove the sticky crap.

Re: removing pin striping (Mrfirefox)
Go to an automotive paint store and purchase an eraser on a drill bit shank, I used one, and it was easy, all I had to do after is wax the car, easy and finger nails don't hurt, here is a link for a idea of what to buy. http://www.bodyshopproducts.com/sear...btnSearch.y=10

use a blow dryer and some of those plastic razor blades you can buy from any local discount parts store and when you get the stripes off depending on how long the stuff has been on there you can use either goo gone or a mixture of goo gone and meguiar claybar.

razor blade is a bad idea... go with goo gone and a hair dryer, much easier. (plus, dont have to worry about damaging the paint).

Re: removing pin striping (VTECTIME)
I had a bitch of a time taking double sided tape off of my car when I took my body kit off. A heat gun and some D&M Spot Remover worked GREAT! You shouldn't hold the hair dryer too close for too long depending on the heat setting that you have it on. I would say about 15-30 seconds. Also depends on how wide your pinstriping is. If it is thin pinstriping then you shouldn't hold it for long. You should also check the stuff that you use to take the adhesion off. Make sure that it is safe for your paint. That D&M Spot Remover is safe, I know that from experience.
