removing passenger airbag
does anyone know how to remove the passenger airbag on a 97 cx? i'm trying to put the airbag tray in and i'm having a hard time removing the airbag that is deployed already. i took off three bolts underneath the glove box and can't seem to find anymore bolts or clips to remove yet it still won't come out. if anyone has remove theirs before help me out. thanks.

Your from Cali, i dont think that would pass inspection. Removing a vehicle's safety feature(s) is actually against the law in some states.
try this thread if you still feel the need.

Re: (97Ej6mike)
with a couple of tugs i finally removed it. i had a dmv inspection about two months ago and they never said anything thats why i decided to put the tray in instead of a airbag.

Re: (sk3ch)
I can understand removing the driver's side airbag in order to replace with an aftermarket steering wheel setup, but to remove the passenger airbag, it really doesn't make too much sense. To each his own, I suppose.

Removing the airbag will set off the SRS light.
I would check your local laws regaurding removing saftey features on the vehicle.
Most likely they will tell you that its illegal.
