Re: removing painted pin stripes? (civictypenos)
i have the same problem except mine where stickers and now they have gone into the paint. I tried to get it off with bug & tar, rubbing alcohol, heat. The only thing i can think of is to get off as much as you can without buffing (like i've done) and then just buff it out and maybe try to put some touch up paint on it and buff that to make is flow nice. Just a thought, if you com eup with any ideas just IM me or reply. Thanks

they could bepainted on, if you crash you car and an autobody shop doesn't have stickers they might paint a section or even take all your stickers off and paint pin stripes. At least thats what the shop i work at does. mmmk

Just buff them off with some compound, then hit it with a hand glaze, then some wax...ive done this a few times..not hard at all....comes right off and youll never know it was ever there

I'm having a really hard time believing that they're painted on , thats what mine looked like to be at first, until I took it to my body shop, they fixed a dent, and the guy replaced the little pinstripes to match the body color for some reason. I didn't ask him to.

you want to come to florida and look for your self,im not a idiot, they are painted on!!
I HAVE PULLED OF THE STICKY KIND BEFORE,i know what they look like and how to do it.i wish that they were just stickers,i would not have to post about them then.believe it or not, there are people out there who actually paint them on the car with a brush.

Are they the same color as your paint? or is it a different color, cuz my doors ahev looked like they just painted over the stickers and it left like to lines and kinda stuck up reather than being smooth, but there was stickers over those before.

I have a 93 gray hatch and it had a white/gray pinstripe. I took the stripes off both sides of the car, and the Civic Cx stickers off with a razor and 3m compound. My car looks a lot better with all those stickers gone.
