when we spill oil, we pour kitty litter on it, let it sit for like 20 mins till it soaks in, then sweep it up

That's the way to go for oil spills on the ground. As for oil cleaning of your head, use engine degreaser or carb cleaner, those seem to work good.

Kitty litter owns. If you want to pull the stain up a bit, lay down enough to get any residual puddle on the surface, let that get completely saturated. Sweep that up, then lay down some fresh stuff, grind it in a little, and let that sit a bit, sweep that up, and should look alot better.

I use dishwashing soap on my hands after I work on my car and get lots of oil on them. I'd imagine it would work on pavement just as well.

Also what works good for soaking up oil stains is odor absorbant powder. I work with fuel oil, and use this stuff all the time to cover up the smell/pick up/soak up stains. Works great on concrete. You can probably find this type of product under several different names if you went to a plumbing/heating supply store. Stuff I use is from F.W. Webbs (not sure if they are Northeast only) and is simply called "Odor Absorbant Powder", smells like cherries too!

if it is a recent spill like if u spill it and it has only been 5 minutes, cat litter soaks it up, but it will still stain, i recommend a high power pressure washer for that

Rice hull ash is the rulinest. Other than that sometimes at work we squirt oil stains with a caustic degreaser and power wash it off into a sewer sump (do not wash into the rain gutters).
For engine exteriors we also degrease and rinse, but you have to cover your electronics.
For engine head interiors, ever been thru the Seafoam experience?
