Default removing engine wiring question ...

Hey guys im pulling my blown D out to replace it hopefully, And am wondering If I have to unplug everything on the engine or is there a way to remove the engine harness with the engine.
If I have to unplug everything what is there to unplug under the IM because I cant really get a good view down there. And the clip on the dizzy is being a real pain in the *** and wont come apart any special way to get it seperated? Im using a hoist if you need to know im not sure.
Any help appreiciated...

just disconnect the harness from the body, sit it on top your motor, and remove the harness from the engine when you get it out..

Ok so how do I get the ecu portion through the fire wall I have the two clips undone but it doesnt want to come out, I cant remove the battery tray because the bolts are rusted to the point where a socket just strips them...

OK, next time post what type of car your trying to work on ... but anyways ... looks like your trying to pull the motor out of an EK... first of all you need to disconnect your battery and remove.... then there are about 3-4 bolts that hold on the battery tray and remove.... there are 2 10mm bolts i beleive that hold on the pigtail harness that runs through the firewall ... make sure you have already disconnected the ecu from the harness inside .... then pull out the harness carefully from the engine bay .... ... hopefully thats the answer to your question ... for help on your EK please PM me for help ... id be glad to help you out ...

Sorry its a 96 CX I tried WD-40 and a bunch of others before I even touched the bolt when I stuck the socket on and twisted it stripped the head completely. BTW my comp wont let me recieve IM's right now so i have to keep it to the thread or I would let it die sorry. But yea that drilling thing is there any wires down below the bolts or any thing that will be fucked up if I go through?

The engine wiring harness goes under the battery tray in between where the bolts are. If you drill them out there is nothing on the underside of the body that you couldruin by drilling. You could just put new bolts with nuts on them when your done. After that the connecter that go into the ecu will come out as long as you pull them one by one.
