removing ecu question

i was reading on some post bout removing the ecu so people cant steal our rides....i got a question on that... will that mess up the stock radio or anything else...like if i unplug it will i need a code for my radio? or anything?

Re: removing ecu question (dylokjai)

no it won't harm the radio because the radio gets its power from the battery.
only if u remove her then u must enter the radio code (as long as u have that setting in your radio...)

the idea isn't that bad, but it's kinda weird to take your ecu with u all day long?

maybe if you connect a hidden switch between the lines that guide towards the ecu, that will be more effective

Re: removing ecu question (VTECMaster)

if that concerns you install a momentary switch in a hidden location...it should splice in line with the starters power if you want to start the car you must press and hold the button while turning the key...if you dont press the button nothing. not even if they splice the power and the ignition, no starter. even better get an alarm with an engine disabler. any questions on how to do this in detail give an email. I have a million ways to make your car a pain in the ass to steal. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

fuel cut off switch, easy as cake, just interupt the power leading to the fuel pump....no fuel=no car https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif
