Default removing door panel (del sol eg2)

id like to know how i remove the door panel on a del sol, as the power window has apparantly decided to break and id like to get inside there and see exactly what i need to replace. also where would i go to buy the parts? would i have to find an autowrecker? would the parts from an EG 92-95 work?

and just a quick question are del and and eg hoods very different?

if im not mistaken after you CAREFULLY remove the inner door handle (prone to breaking very easily) and a plastic screw under the triangle window, you pop the clips from the bottom and slide up.

Parts really depend on what's broken. I wouldn't say 92-95 eg parts would work, but then again i haven't tried. pending on what's broken you could go to a local junkyard, but new parts are always nice too.

And the hoods are pretty different.

I believe there are only 3, one in the top front corner (hinged side) and the plastic cover comes off, the second is a plastic screw and clip that comes out ( near top corner also) and third is behind the door pull (there is a little plastic circle pop that out to access the screw). Also you need to unscrew the door handle there is one screw behind a lillte flap that you pop open to access that screw. The rest are just plastic fasteners on the back of the door panel that pop out when you puu on it. after you pull it out lift it up out of the window channel and your set.

oh, btw, it's not actually the HANDLE handle, but rather the handle you yank to open the door, the.... locking mechanism? forgive me, i dont know the proper term. My bad tho, should have been more specific. And yeah, like 'PhillySolNhatch' said, a 3rd screw under the handle handle with a plastic cover on it. the cover pops right off.

My outside driver's side door handle has decided to stop working. I have to leave the window down so I can reach inside and open the door. Not a biggie but it's been raining alot lately so I've been having to roll the window up so I have to get into the car from the passenger side.

I guess I'll try taking the door panel off too, maybe I'll be able to see what broke.
