Re: Removing Cruise Control in a 99 Si (supersi99)
all you have to do is remove it all. thats all i did on my 99 GSR i had. remove the cruise control box under hood, remove the cable and the button is you dash. i just left the plug for it hidden in the dash so if i wanted to i can reinstall everything.

This is kinda off topic and sorry for jacking your thread. But in a 99Si, if you put a GSR motor in it, would the cruise control just connect straight up? being that the TB and mani is differnt. thanks.

Clean up the bay. I'm **** about clean bays as well, and I'm a weight *****.

Wow i guess so....see that seems like a useless weight reduction for something as convenient as cruise control. Thats all in the eye of the beholder though. I feel you on the engine bay though.....clean clean clean is key!

I'm going to threadjack here a little bit...how does the cable disconnect from the firewall? I can't see it well enough under the dash to figure out if it's a clip or something. It doesn't seen to want to come through the firewall by just pulling on it, seems pretty secure. I already disconnected the pedal...

There's a hole about 1" in diameter, the same size as the one on the passenger side where ppl typically run accessories or leads into the car. Just look where it goes through the firewall from the engine bay, it's easy to pull out.

Thats because you have to push and twist the plastic piece that is against the firewall. If you are taking the cruise out of a 99 Si make sure you plug the vaccume on the back of the Intake manifold
