removing b series tranny *help* *update*
ok, i am in the process of removing my transmission...i have been using my haynes manual and a few other guides i found on H-T. anyway i was just curious if anyone has found a walkthrough with a lot of pictures. so far i have removed the aproperate wires (VSS and back up sensor), ground wire, axles and half shaft, the side stabilizer?? ..., drained the fluid.
can anyone be specific on what i should do next and maybe add some pictures...

slave cyliner doesnt have to be removed. just make sure that ALL of the housing bolts are removed. there is one hiding that goes INTO the tranny from the engine side. its on the back side. the flywheel cover is the lil piece of metal on the bottom of the bellhousing covering up the flywheel. youll have to seperate the tranny and engine by slightly prying it apart. i cant really thing of anything else. hope this helps

hmm, ok i have all the bolts removed(i think) and the tranny wont seperate from the block... i noticed there is like 8 or 9 lil bolts (12 or 14mm cant remember and too lazy to go look) going around the tranny...but not where it connects to the block. do those need to come out? and what else should i look for. i got the starter off but i dont thinki took the bracket off...does that need to come off too?
please help!

uh....yeah it does. Unbolt the 2 12mm bolts that hold the slave cylinder to the tranny casing and slide it out of the dust boot. That way you don't lose any clutch fluid.
remove the tranny to block braces under the car, the starter, and the housing bolts and the upper mounting bolts/rear mount bolts

WTF are you talking about?! if you dont remove the slave cylinder when you lower the trans it will rip the line off of the slave.

If I remember correctly you only need to take off the bottom starter bolt.

Re: removing b series tranny *help* (untitledsn41)
ok ok...i took my tranny into the tranny shop and they took it apart and inspected it. found out i had a bad bearing which lead to a bunch of other things. so the tranny needs to be rebuilt...F*** THAT i cant afford $1400 right now. so i called up Steve at HMO (where i bought my swap) and told him everything... he said he cant help me out under warrenty (been almost 3 months) but he's gonna help me out another way. he called up japanland and got me a B18C tranny with 37,000 miles on it for $575 shipped. so that should be here in a little over a week...good deal eh?
i'm never gonna order a motor or anything from anywhere else than HMO now. Steve is a great guy and i thank him for workin with me
