need help/opinion removing 99 civic si alternator
ok, so i searched for installing/removing 99-00 civic si alternator. it looks like its not possible to remove alternator from the top. i know you can on d series but not on bseries?
best method is to push alternator back towards crossmember, take out bottom bracket and slide alternator out. but just looking down there, it seems it impossible w/o taking axle or downpipe off.
which side to take out alternator? slide toward driver side axle or from header/downpipe.
on axle side, will there be enough clearance or would i need to take out axle?
i have 3" downpipe, so it wont come down on that side. i think it's easier to take dp off but it looks like the oil filter is in the way...and i just changed the oil. argh!
what do u guys think?

Drive shaft and half shat are most likely coming out in this case, that being said you're right it won't come out from the top. thing with taking the half shaft out is there goes your trans fluid lol it's a tough situation either way. There was a DIY around here but the pics are gone.

not sure if that's possible with 99 civic si.
