Default removed sticker... but also removed paint =/ help

i tried all that goo gone, goof of,f wd40, adhesive remover and nothing worked. that mortal kombat (scorpion) sticker has been on the car for like 10 years (1994 no joke). i finally bought me some decal stripper/paint stripper also. now, why did the paint come off before the sticker? gee. i got a rectangle spot on my car 4 inches long 2 inches thick. white paint is gone and you can see the primer clearly. is this fixable without getting the entire piece (trunk lid where the keyhole is) painted? i'm not looking for perfection, just nothing not to noticable. thanks... i cut my nails, o my god my fingers hurt.

You can do it right or you can do it cheap. The right way would be having a shop match the current color of your car to a chip and spray your entire boot lid that color.

The cheap way is to spot-repair it and hope for the best. Wet sand gently .

you will need to repaint...sorry, unless of course you want to use 'touch up' paint from the dealership.

I'd say you could try and get some touch up paint (in the spray can at autozone or something, but that probably wouldn't work out too well. I think you're probably stuck going to a body shop to have it touched up professionally. It shouldn't be all that expensive judging by the size of the spot.

Think about it, you took what was left of your clearcoat, paint, the sticker and its adhesive all the way down to the primer, I dont think you'll be able to fix that with stuff from autozone unless you've had experience with bodywork in the past.

take your car to a several body shops and findout. that would be your most accurate way to findout the cost.

It'll prolly cost like 50 buck. As an alternative, I'd just tape off the area that you messed up, get a color matching paint in a spray can, spray it twice, wetsand with 1500+ grit sandpaper, spray again, and then clear coat, and wet sand again. spray light coats and let them dry completely.
