remote trunk release and low fuel light installation questions.
I have a 93 Del Sol EH6. I was wondering if the trunk latch assembly has the necessary connection for the later model remote trunk release latch for the interior of the car. Aside from needing the remote trunk latch assembly, what else is needed to add it to the vehicle. I was also wondering does the low fuel light work on 93's if not will adding the bulb that is supposedly missing on these year make it work when the fuel gauge reaches that point?

your actually going to need the jdm fuel fuel pump with the low light sender unit on it which were only available in japan there was a thread in here a while back that talked about getting a bunch if anybody wanted in on it, but they didnt post if they gotten them or not. so you would need the jdm fuel pump and run the wiring to the cluster

you could also possibly use a door actuator or whatever its called. I have 3 on my 93 hatch, door locks, and hatch glass pop. Goes through my Viper alarm

And we got a bunch and a few people have installed them. Check the thread (it's been bumped to the top a couple of times today) for the part number that works in Civics. I'm assuming that the later Del Sols have a low fuel light? If so, I bet the fuel sender from a later Del Sol will work, but you'd have to check to be sure the gas tanks are the same size. It might even be the same part number as the Civic fuel sender (which wouldn't surprised me).

they sell the mounts for remote release cable, they go in the trunk for where the cable mounts to and pulls the lever to release the trunk. I'd check ebay to find the mounts and the proper cable, and lever combo. they have the parts from 96-97 sol's to do the "swap" to remote trunk release. you have to drill into the trunk area and mount a couple screws so the release mount won't move. pretty simple install though.
