Remote start activation question.
first off this is a hornet 564t alarm system with a 99 honda dx with no factory alarm or power anything. ok now there is this strange metallic spring loaded thing that i have to wire in to get my remote start to work, and the installation guide says to wire it like so -
the book says it the wire going to this needs to have 2 consecutive ground pulse in order to start, how do u think i should go about wiring this thing in?
so far im think of grounding the metal thing and just simply attaching the wire into the bottom connector.
thanx

2 ground pulses? In what time interval? Is this switch supposed to act as a trigger for starting?
Typically, that switch you have is a hood sensor.
When its open, it provides a ground.
When you press it, the contact is broken.
(I sold a crap ton of those switches on here a long time ago)

the picture is of a hood pin like said above. That cut s off the engine when the hood is popped.
the other pic you have is of the valet switch or so it looks like. that gets hidden inside the car somewhere so if your remote dies you can turn off the alarm by putting the key in the ignition and turning the key.

not familiar with your model r.s. but the white/blue wire your talking about sounds like its for activating the r.s. from an external source. is this a stand alone remote start or r.s. alarm combo?
