Remote key FCC ID how important?
So I am looking for a new remote for the locks on my SI, and I want to know how important the FCC ID is.
Mine is A269ZUA123 and I have found cheap remotes on ebay with A269ZUA106 and A269ZUA101.
Notice the last three digits are different
So do I need one to match exactly or will the 106 or 101 work for my 123?
I am guessing not, I am just hoping coz I'm a cheap bugger.
Oh, also not sure how important this is, but I got my FCC ID from the box under my dash not from the back of my remote, because I dont have remotes obviously.

From my experiences with Keyless Entry, you need the exact same FCC ID...I could be wrong though. My old job said you needed it to amtch exactly.

Thanks, I figured this would be the case. I shall continue my search for an exact match.
