Remote cd player for 96' Civic
Hey guys I heard there was a OEM cd player that goes right above the cup holders in 96-98 civics. I would like to know how they plug into the stock radio head unit ... I think the two options are; into the back of the head unit, and the other option is a green harness which is unused and located behind the head unit/climate control and taped to the harnesses that are plugged into the head unit. If anybody knows how it plugs in that'd be great, if you have one lets see some pics thanks in advance

hey.....Do you have keyless entry on your car????If so you will need 2 harnesses...Im using an after market deck in the factory units place....I had to hide the factory unit in my center console....It still should be the same concept though.... There are 2 ports where your harnesses will clip into on the back of the factory unit.....The new harness(1 white connector) will plug into the back of your factory head unit....The factory green harness will stay in the factory head unit....The other harness(white clip-factory)will go into the new harness....Which then connects to your new cd player.....When you buy the harnesses ask for them for keyless entry if you have it....Many people have given me the wrong harnesses....It is very understanding once you look at the harnesses....Should be plug and play....Good luck....Very hard to describe when typing.....

Yes there is a port on the back of the stock radio that the changer will plug into....the green plug you are referring ( on 96-98 models ) is the plug for the factory security option, if you are looking for a oem cd changer check ebay, there is a guy that sells new and refurbished factory changers for around $99.00

The port your talking about is the one, when looking at the back, on the far right correct? round has like 8 pins or so?
