Default Relocating the battery

I am planning to swap in a K20 into my hatch. After swapping in the engine, i'm planning to boost it, SC or turbo based on the space left over. To fit the engine, FI, and spread the weight evenly around the car, I want to put the battery somehwere in the back of the hatch.

This is a daily driver, the only purpose is to shift weight and make some room. Has anyone here made a cusom battery box, or mounted a battery in the trunk that could help me?

I've never done it, but you'll need a cavity that will be able to vent to the outside, unless you go with a drycell battery (I think)? Basically it will be a matter of fabbing up a battery box, and extending the primary power cables back to the engine bay, which really shouldnt be a problem, it will be like running wires for an audio system, but in reverse.

Just take into consideration the venting needs of batteries. I'm pretty sure there are some that dont need it, but just make sure, you dont want to have fumes in your hatch.

Thanks for the advice! I'll check batteries and see what type of box can be fabbed up...I really want a box, dont want fumes and open + and - terminals if Im still using the hatch part, the fumes didnt occur to me!
