Relieving Fuel pressure

Default Relieving Fuel pressure

Im installing a fuel gauge and regulator whats the best way to rekieve the fuel pressure so I dont get gassed? I know I gotta take the gas cap off but what else?

Gas cap and fuel filter line. Make sure you wrap a couple rags around the fuel line.

that's basically it. it's going to leak like it or not. just, make sure the car is cold of coarse.

They're both right. There's not a whole lot you can do and it'll leak out either way, just put some towels around it, make sure it's cold, and make sure the gas cap is off. You can pull that fuel filter line too but I never have :-X. Either way, gas will come out...may not spray out, but it'll come out in a noticable ammount.

thanx guys cause I got the fuel gauge that screws on top of the fuel filter... I was goim to disconnect the fuel pump connector and then start it till it died but I wasnt sure if that was a good way to do it
