well depending on what your budget, goals, etc are, it varies. if you are looking for just some good out of the box power and honda reliable then look at a swap. but again it all depends on your budget. I know some people who think a turbo b18c is a reliable (which it is if done right) but its gonna cost you way more then a simple b16,18 swap.

Just get an LS, they're cheap and potentially good builds.
p.s. If you've got power, and use it on a regular basis, it won't be reliable.

all motor applications usually use higher compression, usually upgrade to stronger internals like forged rods, bigger cams, it is more reliable because everything is stronger, but if u build and go turbo it can also be very reliable, do a search on all motor applications and turbo, there's lots of info out there on this

I dont agree with you there. A turbo motor can be just as reliable as an All motor car. It all in the Tune. if you slap a turbo on a motor with nothing upgraded and try to drive with it and not tune, well yeah its gonna blow but the same thing will happen with any all motor setup. building either motor rigth, you gonna be replacing the same things so that shouldnt be the issue of reliabilities.

swap to a b18c5. after youve been driving that for 6 months, turbo it and tune it correctly. its going to cost you a good chunk of money, but its worth it if youre looking for some real speed.

or you could just do a ton of drugs and buy a delorian.

why the c5? why not save some money and use the c1? the c1 i think is a better turbo motor anyways plus its cheaper to buy. its a great out of the box motor.

b18c5 is just a stronger motor to start with and if you dont wanna do much to your motor its a damn good motor to run.

just a question? have you ever had either swap? if you have, then you would know that the c1 isnt a "bad" motor. If the plan is to turbo a motor why start with a high compression motor?

i would get the gsr over the type r because i know i want to boost...
but if you are still unsure, the type r has a good amount of power and with some bolt ons itll treat you right...

its all in preference.

well you could swap in any Honda engine and it would be reliable as long as you dont rag on it all the time. And since hondas werent built for boost originally, if you boost it, then sooner or later your gonna have problems.

Also, ive noticed that it seems like everytime someone asks a legit question everyone gangs up and says.. "learn how to use the search". what are you guys here for? to answer questions or to tell them to search? seems to me that if you guys tell people this all the time then there would be nothing to search and this forum would be pointless. help a guy out, give opinions, state arguments and let them decide what they wanna do. Thats what this forum is here for. if they wanted to search then im sure they know where google is, thats why they came here... for some experienced opinions that will aid in their decision
