Regular B16 VS. Spoon Sports B16
What's the difference between a regular B16 Vs. a Spoon B16.... Other than the color, any other thing ???

Re: Regular B16 VS. Spoon Sports B16 (Harryflores)
One you can afford the other you cant. Other than that I think that the spoon is built for endurance road racing. And its Sppon so its uber expensive.

Everything is balanced/blueprinted to ensure better performance all-around, like he said-- for road racing.

spoon sport's motor is a crate motor...
meaning that they have entirely rebuilt it, basically its a new motor...
there was some dude on here that got a free crate motor from JUN...that was a beast!

Regular B16 VS. Spoon Sports B16
My question was based more into the performance of the Valve cover... I was about to buy one but I did my re-search before and I heardfrom Steave at HMO Motorsoports that there is a placer here in SO-CAL where they can build it to perform way better than the spoon one... will post more info later

spoon = overpriced and overrated.

do you have any idea what you are talking about?
spoon engines, were designed for endurance road racing with rebuilds being needed after short intervals (think 500-1000 miles)

A Spoon crate engine is intended for that purpose - durability for extended high-load, high-RPM use, as it would sustain in an endurance race. All rotating/reciprocating bits are blueprinted and balanced to precise specifications. Spoon uses its own thin head gasket. Most if not all of the internals are still OEM Honda parts, and as such, the engines produce power in the same realm as a stock engine from Honda.
