Default Registration for a '95 Civic w/ B18C engine

When i get my swap what do i have to do about registration?
Do i tell my Insurance company?
Will a JDM engine pass emissions (except CA)?

i don't know how it is in your state, but out here in cali you have to make an appointment with a state ref station and pass visual and smog for the year of the car... all smog devices have to be present and the ref doesn't want to see any loose or spliced wires and sh*t like that. after that, then you get a sticker stating the motor in the car and you go and get the car registered. i'm currently working on getting my hybrid certified and i have an appointment on the 16th with the state ref. good luck on getting you ride registered
