Basically, When I showed up for my appointment with the referee(Be sure to be on-time otherwise they will cancel your appointment faster than any import car can make it to the quarter mile - at least that's what I heard), you will be asked for your vehicle registration and sign some paperworks throughout the process.
The referee will then do a visual inspection of your car for any present damages before they begin the testing.
He will also do a system check on your vehicle: mainly looking for any signs of issues with your Engine(Check Engine Light) as well as your SRS System(I know it doesn't have anything to do with the ENGINE SWAP, but the ref mentioned it's required that the SRS system be fully functional as they once had a case when a car came of the dyno, the AIRBAGS deployed).
Once that's done, they head towards the engine bay to do a comprehensive check of the engine, intake, sensors, etc...
They also check your ECU(ensuring you have the right one), Catalytic Converter and your Gas Cap.
Once the visual inspection is done, then on to the dyno goes your car.
Where they run and test the emission levels of your car @ 15 & 25 mph.
Note: They check the timing as well so be cautious when advancing / retarding your timing.
Once all that is done, then you are either set with a bar sticker or sent home to fix the problem(You do get 1 free retest).
I know this since I had to use it.
I failed the first test because my CO & NOX levels went over the max and I had an AEM CAI from my DC2 that I put on the car(I know...apparently they not just look & verify the CARB EXEMPT # but also the Intake's Part Number to make sure that it's for the right engine).
Anyway, after doing some tuning and getting the right AEM Intake for the H22 to fit in my EG(With some minor fabrication, I managed to get it to fit perfectly). I setup another appointment which I was able to walk out of with a big grin on my face.

my buddy got a h22 swap in his accord and it sounded simple to get his car BAR'd. all he did was go to one of them colleges that does the visual; they did not check his ecu. they only checked if he had the proper sensors and BAAM...he got his sticker. after that, you can go to any smog place to get your car smogged and if it doesnt pass, just pay under the door.

Yes...but I love the idea of being able to go to any smog place to get your car smogged and not hasseled by the fact that I have a diff engine in the car.
The same goes if I get pulled over by a peach officer and asked to pop my hood. I'll be more than happy to show him the BAR Sticker.

Thanks...I was definitely able to breath easier after knowing that I passed.
