Refs no longer bar'ing jdm motors in CA?

Refs no longer bar'ing jdm motors in CA?
ok so i have a 93 hatch with a 93 gsr in it. the motor is from japan and the motor was BAR'd in this chasis about 2 years ago. i beleive ive heard the refs are no longer bar'ing jdm motors? im pretty sick of my chasis and can come up on a clean EF chasis.. can i have the engine transplanted get it re-bar'd into the EF? thanks HT.

I've heard you can and can't BAR JDM motors; only as a direct replacement ('99-'00 Si with a B16B, for example). I'd contact whatever referee station you're planning to go to and ask them, since they'll know the answer for sure.
