Default Redline and Rev limiter

Okay, I have an 96 DX hatch. I recently put an ex cluster in the car. I notice that the rev limter hits at 7500 or very close to it. Of coarse the redline on an ex starts at 7000. I was wondering if anyone know what is to be considered redline and the rev limiter for that model and year?

it is because your motor will make no more power past redline unless you are are highly modded. that does not mean I/h/e. the fuel cut off is there to keep dumbass's from hurting there motor.

I believe redline is like 6800 and fuel cut is 7200...but I could be wrong

I would agree with this. Atleast that's how it looks on my 99 ex's gauge.
