redline mtl
i was told by the local "speed shop" that using redline mtl in the trannie will destroy the syncros in about 10,000 miles. why would something that would work in any other car not work in a honda. is it just a case of "we dont sell it so we're gonna bad mouth it"? i have nothing negative about this product and i have nothing but good things to say about other products from redline. i know the question will be asked so i'll answer it now, the car it would be going into is a 99 ex . thanks for your help
i guess the question is; Is this guy full of **** for telling me this or is this a real issue?

Use Honda MTF and be done. Redline will cause the synchros to work harder, and wear out faster because of it's slipperiness (it that even a word?).
Also of the 2-4 trannys I've tore apart that used Redline MTL, I found the red gunk everywhere, didn't even come out after using dino oil.
