im sure i did it right i double check everything and i was trying to find out what was the problem when i did my swap but i think it was my cluster not reading right cuz im running a skunk2 program and i tried another ecu and it would not let me go past 7500 and it was a p30

I believe you are far from right. I have some software of my laptop where I can go in and watch all of my sensors from my OBDII port, and the stock tachis off anywhere from 3-600rpms at any given time.

thats what i thought so im trying to fix the cluster. it seems like the cluster is seting the redline there cuz the cluster is correct until vtec seems like it slows down to make redline 7500 any one have a problem like this before

make sure you have all the settings on the VAFC right. When I did my swap, I reset the VAFC and it set it to defult as a 6 cylinder. Yea, my RPMS were just a tad off.
My stock tach sucks. When I had the d16z6 in my car, my cluster said I was shifting at redline (7200) but my VAFC said 69xx. The stocker is defently not ment for presision.

the stock tach is off, u can pull the needle off and reposition it. my vafc2 reading compare to my SiR cluster, the cluster is off bout 500 rpms, so i pull the needle off and reposition it keepin a steady rpm reading.

Dude your tach reads 17000??? j/k i know what you mean. lol
Anyways the stock tach are stupid. It's way off. I don't even trust it. I trust my 5" tach more. The 5" tach and my vafc is all i pay attention to as for rpm.

Stock tachs read higher than the actual engine speed. Reduces your chance of over-revving.
Is it that far off at other points? For me it's about 100 rpms off at idle, and about 2-300 off in high rpms...

werd... my stock tach reads 1200 at idle, 6000 at x-over, 9000 at rev limit.... all those values are 500rpm too high (chipped p28 with stock p30 program)
