Default Recommend me a high flow cat please!

My old catalytic convertor broke apart inside and so I'm switching up my exhaust a little. My current setup is a JDM ITR 4-1 header, custom 2.5" piping from the cat back, Spoon N1.

I'm wondering what would be a good cat. to put into this setup. I was running a CarSound universal but it fell apart inside and kicked out my O2 sensor.

Either way I need to replace the O2 and cat. I've got the sensor just need a good cat to complete it all.

Thanks.

thats why I hate having a powerful motor when the cat cant hold up.. same thing happened to my car and I ended up hollowing out the cat myself and removing all the crap thats in it.. btw I am running obd1 so I dont have to worry about the second o2 sensor.. why did I do this? because cat converters are so dam expensive and I dont have the money to change it right now.. so to all you tree huggers out there, dont flame me

Haha, yeah I keep thinking I should make the switch to OBD1 but my Cat. is shot so even if I do go OBD1 I'll still have to put something there and I hate test pipes.

I've had good results with the magnaflow/carsound cats, I've have one on my car now for about 2 years with a jdm B18CR and the jdm 4-1 header. It’s holding up fine. I would look into how the cat got damaged in the first place. How old was it, are you running rich, did it take a hit etc??

It wasn't very old at all. And never hit at all. I shouldn't be running rich I don't think. The car just has I/H/E??

Don't like the free flow of test pipes or the risk of a visual inspection...?
Sleeve a piece of pipe in your cat if it's inspection, or make the rest of the system more restrictive if it's the flow and scavenging you're worried about. Just knocking the center of the cat out won't make it flow as well as a test pipe, the chamber will cause turbulence and back pressure, thus the sleeve...
