recently in isolated Iceland.........
I have come across another problem.... I own a europian spec 07 civic HB 1.4i Si, and it now is starting to overheat, following advice of a friend I had friends in the states ship me up a autozone thermostat and had it installed. I new nothing around that area so I had the shop do it, but the problem is it didnt help.... It only overheats when in park, when its moving it is fine. I am thinking the fan, is my guess right?

Jump the fan harness. Connect the fan to 2 wires, 1 for the ground and 1 to the battery. If the fan turns on, the fan is ok. It might be the fan switch that is faulty.
While you're at it, flush your coolant and replace with fresh coolant.
IMO, ditch the AutoZone thermostat. The brand was Stant right? Get an OEM piece sent to you (a few bucks more). Sometimes the aftermarket ones "stick" and cause heating.
How many miles since your last waterpump change? Might be the issue aswell.
