ok I'm trying to help my buddy get this swap straight....which is nothing more than a d16y7 with a y8 intake...he had nothing but a shell so we are piecing it together. He got it running but idle was nutz bouncing around 1500-1200rpm...I did the iacv pin swap and now it idles great but it seems to hit its rev limiter at just above 5k???

This is the two issues that may or may not be the cause,...he has nothing but an auto ecu and auto harness even tho the car is a manual...

Is the rev limiter on an auto car around 5k?? or is this maybe some other issue...

I have a check engine which I have not pulled the codes...I have found out the ck is something I should expect with the auto ecu....

I just wanted to run it by you guys to see if anyone had a similiar issue...?

I appreciate the help as Id hate to be pissing in the wind when all I may need is a manual ecu...
