recaro ek9 type r
Im a perfectionist and this is probably going to be a dumb question. one of my seats have a thread comin out from where you sit. it was from a zipper of mybackpocket. should i cut it or just leave it. Im scared if i cut it it will get worse like it with become more loose. i heard though if you leave it, it will it will get snagged more by sitting on it everyday. any suggestions?

You want to be careful on this one. If you cut the thread, you might scare the other threads, leaving your seat thread-less. If you leave it, the thread might have babies with your butt and make more baby butt threads.

get a lighter (the kinds used for lighting stoves or fireplaces) and burn it slightly. crazy glue is bad because your car gets hott in the summer, and it could seep into the seat itself without you knowing (since its clear). if you cut the thread short and burn it you will be fine, just dont over burn it or you ruin the seats lol.

this thread has its own thread...this is ridiculous!
i wouldnt cut it...how much is sticking out? i'd burn it (watch the seat fabric careful!) with a match or possibly sew it back up.

dude only 2 people in this thread actually know what they are saying. get a cigarette lighter , turn it on and fast as hell let it touch the thread. you will see a small ball on the tip of the thread. do it how ever many times it takes until that thread goes as close as the sewing it. and you will be fine.... i have done it before and it works. you will barely notice it.
