Rebuilt engine wont start
Hi guys,
My father and I rebuilt a d16y7 and put in in my car (a 96 civic) but now it wont start. The starter is workign fine as the engine is turning over at a good speed. I think it might be a timing issue as we moved the distributor a little bit and it seemed to come even closer to starting. I'm fairly sure everyting was done right in the rebuild as we took our time trying to ensure we did everyhting correctly... the only thing we were unsure of is/was timing. So if anyone has any advice as to what to check for, or what our course of action would be any and all advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Trevor

Re: Rebuilt engine wont start (LoudLX)
cam timing vs crank timing is off.....you might have put the timing belt on 180 degrees off....make sure #1 piston is at TDC and the cam gear says UP on the top!!
